I grew up in the small seaside town of Littlehampton which is fortunate to have 2 beautiful beaches separated by the River Arun, to the East its shoreline is built up for tourists with Harbour Park amusements and a small parade of beach sellers and as you head towards Rustington there is an award winning East Beach Cafe before you get to the colourful Beach Huts. This area is more focused on the holiday makers and the visitors who want to make a day of it.
To the West of the river is another beach surrounded by protected sand dunes. To get to it you need to drive towards Clymping and take a little back road which brings you back along the other side of the river, its about 10 minutes to drive from one side to the other but the additional journey is worth it when you have a clear day & low tide.
Siena was one of our competition winners back in October and at the time I was after something different to our Autumn Mini Shoots that were also happening that month. She was local to the area so I suggested West Beach to make it an Autumn Beach Shoot and prayed for good weather, this we were fortunate to have had ( it was a beautiful day!)
Siena was fantastic with a beautiful smiley personality, she was happy to draw pictures for me in the sand before walking down to where the tide had gone out so we could jump in little pools that remained.
Taking inspiration from her outfit we decided to edit most of the photos with a light – airy feel with a small collection of rustic edits on the walkway towards the seafront.
