I love all of the seasons throughout the year for different reasons but I simply love the rustic colours that Autumn brings, the cosy jumpers, hats and scarfs that get pulled out from the back of the wardrobe’s and the air is filled with the smell of Bonfires during early November. This is also a nostalgic time of year for me too, its my birthday in November and it brings back memories of my mum and dad inviting all of our family and friends over to the annual bonfire party with all the children having sparklers followed by scrummy hotdogs – very heartwarming time for me.
This Autumn we held a number of Autumn Mini Shoots throughout late October & November which became so popular with parents we were fully booked and we even added an additional date. We have also been very lucky to have had a very mild Autumn this year – we had to re-arange one date due to rain but that was postponed by only 1 week which was good!
To help prepare parents in how to dress your children to make the most of your Autumn mini shoot, we helped by creating a Pinterest board containing a number of inspirational pins, this we will continue to add to (just because I am a bit of a Pintetrest addict!!!)
The Autumn mini shoots allowed children to run free and be themselves allowing me and my assistant, Sara, to capture their true expression. Some went exploring for “The Gruffallo” , some went hunting for pine cones and sticks (sorry to the parents who ended up taking a collection home with them!) whilst others I thought were to be camera shy – they just wanted to tell me about their favourite computer games and characters, the stories then simply flowed!
I thought I would share a small selection of some of the photographs taken through this years Autumn Mini Shoots.
If you would like to be kept informed of our forthcoming Mini Shoots including our Autumn Mini Shoots of wish to book a photography session with us, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
